The

Story

“Hello, this is Jayce. How are you doing? I am doing well.” This common introduction, indispensable in communication, is projected in the middle of this piece and is visible through a mist barrier. Communication is fraught with errors, not only among people from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds but also among those who share the same culture and language. These errors stem from diverse perceptions and experiences that shape unique communication styles. As social beings, we interact and communicate constantly. However, the way language is perceived can vary based on culture, gender, emotion, attitude, and other factors. Words evoke different emotions; sometimes bringing us closer, and other times creating distance. Even when speaking the same language, ambiguity can arise. This piece encourages walking into the fog and approaching the light that cannot be trapped. While perfect understanding may be elusive, it emphasizes the importance of recognizing each person as a unique world and looking at each other without judgment.
